Want a good laugh?

Check out Liberal blogger, Vincent St Pierre's post today; "The Wildrose isn't tough enough".

It is so full of holes it is hilarious. I double checked the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st.

I will blog on this more later.

He has turned off comments, but feel free to comment here.

  2. There are certainly more than a few holes in this assessment, but it isn't completely without basis. The fact is Wildrose Alliance poll numbers are soft (in the sense that they could be higher and in the sense that much of the support isn't deeply rooted), and there have been some organizational challenges since Danielle Smith took over as leader.

At the moment, I don't think the top of the organization is prepared for an election. Much work has to be done, and the right people have to be brought in, to translate the party's popularity into seats come 2012. Lately I've been disapointed with the party's direction, and if some of the rumours are true, then some serious mistakes could be made in the coming months.

It was May 15, 2009 the day Ron Stevens resigned. Arguably, this was the first event in a series that propelled the Wildrose Alliance to the forefront of Alberta politics. One year makes a huge difference. What will we be thinking in May 2011? Do the leader and the top of the organization have what it takes to bring this party to the next level? I have serious doubts.

Ask yourself, one year from now, will the party be in a better position than it is in today? Quite honestly, I just don't know.

  3. Wait a minute...there are liberals left in Alberta? I thought, like all the other rats, we were liberal-free.
